Creativity has been in my DNA since the very beginning. And after gaining the right technical mojo at the Colorado Institute of Art, I quickly became immersed into some of the most regarded design firms in Chicago. This is where I really learned my stuff. Laboring over kerning and grids for hours on end for tough bosses that lived and breathed design.
Making the switch from small design firms to global advertising giant Ogilvy & Mather, I began a 10 year stretch in the world of broadcast, online video and print campaigns for clients such as Miller Brewing Co, Sony, Craftsman Tools, Kenmore Appliances, Dove soap, Kraft, Motorola, Wilson Sporting Goods and more. I swiftly climbed from Jr Art Director to Creative Director/Partner.
After honing my craft at Ogilvy, I moved on to consulting for a number of Ad Agencies, Brand Firms and Design Studios. At Fathom Communications, I lead and managed up to 12 designers, art director and copywriters, overseeing all creative output. Next stop Leo Burnett / Arc World Wide, co-leading a creative team of 25 on one of the largest and most recognized brands on earth, McDonald's.
Now I run my own luxury branding and marketing firm Gauge Branding. You can view all that work here.
A designer/art director by trade, I pride myself on living in the details. My passion for craftsmanship in both design, copywriting and strategy is a unique combination that truly sets me apart.
